It's just a note that people shouldn't click on AppleScript links in files from an unknown source (some freeware app's help for example).

If you want to trash someone's system with your freeware, why leave it up to your help-related scripts? You can do it directly from your freeware app! I've never seen an authentication dialog pop up while viewing help, so I know Help Viewer isn't sudo-ing to gain more privileges than are granted to the rest of the stuff I run, including whatever freeware app in question.

Let's at least be reasonable in picking our issues with the Help Viewer. If an AppleScript is already on the hard drive, it means the user has invited it onto their system or it was placed there by some other program that was invited onto their system. Running local AppleScript files from Help Viewer poses no greater security risk I know of than the user poses to themselves just by being there.

Cheers,
R. Tony Goold
