Help Viewer on X is multi-threaded, but could stand to be more so. We're
working on all of the bullets you mention below, not just the rendering.

* no text selection (someone already mentioned this)
* slow rendering (someone at Apple's already working on this issue)
* single window
* single threaded
* it's Carbon, that means while it's rendering (which can take minutes
on my dev machine with large HTML files) the window behaves like a wall
of bricks.
