Hi,
These are questions for cocoa graphic experts. I am new to cocoa, so it
shouldn't be too difficult to help me...
1. Is it possible to open a gif file using NSImage and
initWithContentsOfFile or do I have to use something else ? (Any
examples are welcome :-)
2. On this image, I would like to convert every black points to alpha
0.0. Does anybody know a way to do that ?
That's all.
But to finish, I would like to say that the documentation about Cocoa is
really bad. Compare it with what is done for PHP for example and you
will see what I am talking about. It is really a shame. There are errors
in the sample code (which is not even always up to date), complete parts
are not documented (NSURL, ...), there are absolutely no examples, no
user comments. The book 'Learning Cocoa' is also really bad, just a mix
of this and that (I have done almost all of the tutorials, it is very
boring and not rewarding), Internet and graphics are completely absent
(who can ignore internet, xml, ... today?). I apologize to the list to
express my feelings here but I hope you will understand me, it is really
hard to start with so little help from Apple (actually, I wonder how you
did ;-).
Well, thanks for your help.

PS : is there an archive of this list somewhere ? If not, I could
probably set this up. Tell me what you think about it.
