It's not only web browsers... my prefs keep reverting to Mail as the default email client instead of Eudora, and IE or Opera as the browser. My other web browsers would sometimes actually be deleted from the menu, so I'd have to add them again instead of just selecting them. Actually, sometimes Opera would open even though the System Preferences before, during and after said Omniweb. Can I presume that this insane routine necessary for keeping the preferences the way we want them is a bug which will be fixed?

Set the pref to omniweb, close the system preferences, open them again, see if the setting is the same. If it is, shut down the computer (do not restart, do not log out) then turn the computer back on, the setting should now be "Stuck"

Do not open IE again or the setting will revert.
