No, I wanted to do it from the book.

Yes, eventually; I didn't start out expecting the volume or pervasiveness of
the errors. My point, however, is that a great number of them should never
have made it that far. *Any* amount of attempted validation using a
compiler could not have avoided finding them.

I agree, which is a good part of the reason that I *have* bought (and been
happy with) so many of their other titles.
