Please stop being rude and explain your feelings. PHP is a lot closer to
C and far more easier to learn than Java, so if you want to use Cocoa
with C, I don't see any good reasons why you should use WebObjects (java
only) instead of PHP. Anyway, it all depends on your own preferences.
But don't try to make people believe WebObjects will bring you much
further than PHP as this is bullshit, or give me just an example.
I subscribed to this list mid August. Since then, I have made my mailing
list archive in 3 days using PHP (
http://cocoa.mamasam.com) and
everything was built up from the ground. Have you been able, since this
list launched (end April), to make something similar with your beautiful
WebObjects ? Nope. I would like to hear your good reasons ?
Has Apple been able to set up something with WebObjects ? Nope. Instead,
they use htdig and Mailman to handle their archives, and both, like PHP,
come from Open-Source projects. If you want to prove that WebObjects is
good, just do something for the community with it, I would be happy to
see the results...
As I feel you need more information about how PHP compares to
WebObjects, you can refer to this link :
http://workingmac.com/igeek/3.wm and
http://workingmac.com/igeek/13.wm
And please, stop telling me "learn WebObjects, it's better". This is
simply not enough : prove it, give me examples, do something.
