Printing defaults

My language (as set in SystemPrefs) is British English and so the paper size should be defined in: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/
PrintCore.framework/Versions/A/Resources/en_GB.lproj/Localizable.strings which has: "DefaultPaperSize" = "iso-a4".

But whenever I try to print, I get US-Letter.

Where am I wrong?

(I am a bit reluctant to mess around in the /System directory - otherwise I would take the fix mentioned by Andreas Monitzer ).
