John Siracusa, contributor to ArsTechnica (

and Mac OS programmer has started a petition to bring back full HFS+
metadata support to Mac OS 9 standards or better. Those who would like
to see improved support to for metadata on Mac OS X are encouraged to go
to the site, read the proposal, and sign the petition.

Once finished, the petition will be submitted to Apple in the form of a
bug report.
