You know you'll get flamed. I encourage that people find their favorite
features, but unfortunately I'd hate to see metadata back. It's such a
hassle to developers (which need to strip files of metadata before
transferring to another filesystem or computer) and users (who send
files that receivers can't open). It is just simpler like it is now for
file interchange.
Is it such a hassle to keep file extensions?
