Even though your list is long, I definately think they would drop Carbon.
It's no longer *that* difficult to move to a new framework, and if you
doubt I know what I'm speaking of, I have been developing on a large
application
myself.
Applications that are ported to/from a number of other platforms, will most
likely have a nice, clean API. This isn't always the case, but if the app
exist
for UNIX or Linux, it's definately possible to toss in a new UI-framework
in no
time using Cocoa.
-So Carbon would be the one to trash, but it's not time yet, and it
wouldn't be
a good idea to do it, due to that it limits the possibilities. ;)
Another good point is that Apple would definately not do something that
would slow
down their own development. They're using Cocoa, and Cocoa is much faster
to develop
for than Carbon.
