Actually, that wouldn't help. FSSpec isn't Cocoa. ;)

I think most of the problems are at the intersection of Carbon and
Cocoa. The old-time NeXTStep programmers on the lists don't know
the Carbon stuff, and the old-time Mac programmers don't know the
Cocoa stuff. The intersecting material is also the stuff that
Apple hasn't gotten around to documenting yet.

Since most of the new Cocoa programmers are likely to be
coming from the Mac side, it's likely that they'll want to
do Mac things, which is likely to get them into Carbon stuff,
and into dark undocumented areas.
