I'd also like to thank all those who replied to my posts.

Just OT a little, I'm having some "political" problems with an
application/process "owning" the Desktop, even if it is the Finder. It seems
like a leftover from Classic days. In a more Object Oriented/UNIX way I'd
like to see a Desktop Server that would supply services to processes/apps
(including Finder).

How about some NSDesktop or NSDesktopView (why should Finder own this space)
classes?
