Scott,
I'm possibly missing something here, but in your case you are a Cocoa
(therefore presumably GUI-app) developer, hence you're on this list. If
you are developing user-based GUI apps (as opposed to UNIX daemons), how
come you run as root? Surely you need a non-admin account, even if only
to test your apps before letting others use them? Granted you may still
want to auto-login as one or other account, but surely you still have
(and use) the other account?
I admit there are other users (single user non-developers, for instance)
who could afford to run as root behind the privacy of their
not-connected-to-the-Net screens.
