You can set it with -cp <path spec> argument to javac.

If you want to set it permanently, modify your tcsh.rc file and set it like
any environmental variable (assuming you are using tcsh as your shell.

For an extensive discussion see http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/. Be
sure to follow the Unix, not the Mac, path for MOSX. The Apple docs seem to
assume that you have worked through this tutorial.

The MacDev center on oriellynet.com also has a discussion of classpath on
MOSX.
