Okay, I want to make changes in Interface Builder (IB) without losing all my code. Is there a CLEAN way of doing it other than saving everything in a "secret directory"? This is what I was doing before, but it seems so...hack. Since UI's do change over time, what is the "normal" way of doing this?

The best way I found until today is to add instance variables ("Outlets") and action methods to the header file of an already existing class first, then go to IB and re-read these class files. Your new outlets and actions will appear there.

Of course it would be a nice feature of IB not to overwrite already existing methods, but for these discussions there's an IB-specific list.

Cheers,
Markus
