Well, I would have to completely disagree with you on the state of
IOKit, but that is neither here nor there. (IOKit is very rich and
very complete, it is not the state of the toolkit, but the state of
the things that use the tool kit that you seem to be discussing
here)
This is a Cocoa development list, not a kernel or driver
development list, neither one of which can use Cocoa.
I suggest that you take a gander at darwinfo.org and at the
darwin-development lists at apple. (lists.apple.com I believe).
There you may find information far more pertinent to this
discussion than the cocoa developers on this list can provide.
