Until and unless there's a superior replacement, yes.
Sure, I'd like to see something come down the pike that's as much of an
advancement over EOF as EOF was over DBKit.
Maybe the persistent object store that Bill Parkhurst was planning for
NeXTSTEP 4.0, or global orthogonal persistence at the OS level a'la'
EROS, but until something like that comes along we'll need in many cases
to map objects to relational databases (not to mention the need to talk
to legacy databases.)
