Hm, I would expect 'i' and that's exactly what is returned.

Mmm, looks like another encoding problem with mail, this time :-)

Instead of "i" you should read "e" accute (&eacute;). So, I'm trying to strip diacritical marks, but converting to ASCII doesn't seem to work.
