Programmatically changing the mouse scaling

  • Subject: Programmatically changing the mouse scaling

I am wondering if there is a published interface for changing the mouse scaling (how fast the mouse tracks across the screen)?
the value is stored in the "Apple Global Domain" and is called com.apple.mouse.scaling. I can change this value but my changes aren't reflected in how fast the mouse moves. Please tell me if there is a way to do this. Thanks.
