Of course the best solution of all would be to use WebObjects... Doesn't

The original mail was simply about writing CGI scripts including
NSString.
Max's reply implied using Cocoa/Java, which then leads to the
NSStringReference issue, and I suspect a range of other problems.
My suggestion was intended to mean "use WebObjects *4.5.1*", which is of
course a pure Obj-C implementation, giving you access to NSString et.
al. And a whole range of other issues, which are probably not
appropriate for this list...
... but at the risk of straying off-topic. One of the things that
WebObjects 4.5.1 brings to Cocoa is an object persistence layer (aka
EOF). There are already some developers leveraging this technology with
great success, and I'm sure many others would do so if they discovered
what EOF is capable of. Again I suspect that this list is not the
appropriate place to discuss this, but perhaps:
(a) Anyone wanting a Persistent Objects Framework might email me (not
the list) to indicate their interest;
(b) Someone might tell me who is the right person in Apple to approach
about this (as a *Cocoa* issue, not a WebObjects issue)?
