I think the real problem will be to get the Java Bridge to work with GCC3.
Project Builder is just a nice interface to the command line programs.
Also, does the all Java version of web objects still rely on the Java-ObjC
bridge, or are things being transitioned away from that?
WO5 runs completely in Java 1.3, without any bridge. That means that Apple
has ported the Foundation framework to Java.
(btw I think Apple should include this Foundation framework in the next
release of Mac OS X to speed up Java applications.)
Not that these will alleviate all the concerns people have voiced over
java,
but if both come to pass, then two of the major performance concerns would
be taken care of.
WO5 doesn't really matter for Mac OS X, it's a separate product.
