getting the Editing Context???

I am wondering how you can get the default editing
context in cocoa. in WOBuilder i can get it through
the session().defaultEditingContext(); this obviously
doesn't work in cocoa since session() doesn't exist. i
appreciate the help.
(I Am Using Java)
