Well, I think I'm somewhat falling in the Cocoa beginner category, but I
find the Cocoa documentation very adequate. (well, I hope all the
"description forthcoming" will disappear before the WWDC at least...)
My only real complain is the lack of printed reference book. A cheap book
printed on light recycled paper, updated at least every year (or even better
every 6 months), which would map the content of the Apple web site would be
great.
Project Builder is very slow at rendering documentation pages (some take up
to 5 seconds on my Mac), and it is therefore not really usable.
Instead of writing more documentation, Apple should really focus on
providing more sample code/applications, especially small focused ones to
begin with. For example, looking at the toolbar sample code made it for me
much easier to understand how things were working. Same thing for
NSTableView (well, I had to guess looking at the NSOutlineView, so it's not
perfect for the complet beginner either).
