Thyl,
I am returning this into the list, since I am about to describe one very
difficult problem, and perhaps somebody who would read that might know an
answer:

Well, anyone can buy a cheap Logitech for that -- agreed that it's not so
nice as the Apple thing, but much more useable, with two buttons and
roller... ;) As for a third button, never tried that; current documentation
says "there's no support".
Now the bad news: the pop-up main menu support I do have for Mac OS X Server
1, and I wanted to implement it for OSX as well. It seems kinda impossible
though, since _the application won't get right menu button events unless they
happen to be over its windows_.
Therefore, if anybody have a clue how to make the Window Server to send
right-button events always to the active application, let me please know! It
worked in Server 1 for the last time :(
Unless I'll find a workaround for _that_, I'd be able only to make pop-up
menuch which would work _over app's windows only_. Perhaps I'll do that
anyway, but in my personal opinion it won't help much...
