Sorry,
I did a mistake: I was looking at a copy of an ISO 9660 Joliet CDROM. This
copy had short filenames, but the original CD shows long filenames.
Nonetheless the javascripts using these long filenames don't work - only if
the filename happens to be in the 32 characters limit. It is independent
from the browser - IE 5.1, iCab, Opera. (OmniWeb crashes.)
So my thoughts were going in the wrong direction.
