I don't see that as a tamperproof issue, but rather as a foolproof issue.
One of the MOST important features of a properly admined unix-based system is
that, if logged as a plain user, I just can't make an unintentional mistake
with gravely disastrous results.

Alas, with this bug, I can. Luckily the probability is reasonably low thanks
to the fact that one quite seldom runs those suid applications (and even
more rare would be using Recent Items from them), but even so...

Well, let's hope once the problem was pointed out, Apple would fix it soon.
Has anybody filled a bugreport on that?
