Objective-C EOF Applications on MacOS X...

Hello All !

We are attempting to port an old EOF Objective-C application
to MacOS X and so would like to keep most of the code in
Objective-C although we realize we need to use Java to access
the database since Objective-C EOF no longer exists. Is
anyone else out there attempting to write Objective-C EOF
applications on Mac OS X ? So far, we have discovered that :
1. There is no documentation (not even a mention) about this
in the Apple documentation which makes us wonder how long this
solution will exist for.
2. The pricing issue has yet to be addressed by Apple so
we currently need to install WebObjects on all our
client machines at $700 per client machine.
We are trying to figure out whether we should carry on with the port
or simply rewrite our application using some other technology. If we
discover that we are alone in our quest, we are not likely to get any
attention from Apple and so may go the rewrite route. Is anybody else attempting
something similar out there ? Please, tell us we are not alone.

Thank You in Advance.

Yves
