Hello all,
I shall have to make a software, which would support security and
authentification (via a proprietary chipcard system). I would like to ask you
for pointers to proper Ms which I should RTF, or other advices how to
(a) implement en/decryption in a way
(a.i) which would look as a native feature of the Mail application;
(a.ii) which would be at least useable from other e-mail clients
(b) implement password authentification for SSL
(b.i) ideally as some OSX service which would be used automatically
by any web browser (and/or NSUrl or whatever which uses SSL);
(b.ii) or, at least, as a specific bundles for most widely used browsers.
I regret to say I am singularly inexperienced in this very area; it is why I
am asking for pointers. Are there some generic resources I should study to
learn better the task? Should I study the KeyChain API? Which other parts of
OSX API is relevant? Which private API I would need to hack through? Should I
download and check the Omni public frameworks?
Incidentally, the one thing I do know is how to use Services for (a.ii); I
can (and probably will) do that, but my client would like to have, at least
for Mail, something more automatical.
As for the list I've selected -- I would like to do as much programming as
possible in Cocoa; I would be grateful of course also for any pointer to
other APIs whenever a Cocoa one for a particular task is not available. If
you feel it would be OT here, do please advice me on my private address.
T a lot IA,
---
