Ah, I see. A CGI counter. That makes sense - the command kinda looked like it wouldn't do much at all...

Definitely funnier than sudo rm -rf / but I still don't see why someone would qualify as an idiot just because they didn't know what /dev/null was...

Well, any person who doesn't know basic UNIX things probably wouldn't be brave enough to go into the Terminal and enter a command that a total stranger gave them. And also, why would anyone think that a command with a URL in it could recover files?
