Well, any person who doesn't know basic UNIX things probably wouldn't be brave enough to go into the Terminal and enter a command that a total stranger gave them. And also, why would anyone think that a command with a URL in it could recover files?

I guess you have a point there...

But still, it could be argued that a new user might be expected to be a bit more trusting towards someone posting on a developer's mailing list such as this one... after all, many people do go to mailing lists, web boards, and the like for help and follow various other forms of advice in other areas given by perfect strangers, so why should it be any different for UNIX commands?
