You can modify the disk images manually and then choose "convert Image..."
in DiskCopy to create a r/o and compressed image. Works nicely.

Still, at least the hqx (or maybe better .bin) part remains: many servers
dont recognize .dmg as binary and download will end up in a mess. I do it
too...
