About Mac books in colleges, what can we, French, say when only a
few "specialized" bookshops have one or two books about Mac. And
these often have complicated topics like "What are those three
little red, yellow, and green globes in the upper-left corner ?" or
"how to connect a USB printer to a Mac ?". It's really a pity, and
the only way to have relevant books is buying them thru the web !
We need to stop whining and do something about it. Most college
libraries (at least ours) will accept book proposals from their
users, and I for myself (and my group) have adopted the policy of
proposing the purchase of all new books about Mac OS X programming -
in consequence our library has all of them :-)
