I would suggest learning java, since a lot more companies are hiring
java programmers than objective-c or cocoa programmers. When cocoa jobs
start existing, the people hiring are more likely to pick someone with
work experience. In fact, it's pretty easy to learn Objective-c and
cocoa if you know java, so I wouldn't be surprised if cocoa jobs go to
people with java work experience and no cocoa experience over, say,
shareware developers who've made a bunch of little apps.
btw, I in no way am saying java is better than objective-c or vice
versa. I'm mainly commenting on the current job market. If you really
dislike java or you still can't find a job, I would take the advice of
the person who said start your own company. If you want a suggestion of
what to work on, listen around for comments like "I would like to buy a
mac, but I really need program foo available only for windows" or "I
would like to upgrade to OS X, but I really need program foo available
only in classic".

Hi,
I'm in a similar boat as Marewan. I recently got my CS degree and have
been working with Cocoa for a couple years. What I'm wondering is if
anyone has any advice on the best way to go about finding Mac jobs,
Cocoa or otherwise. I've had little to no luck finding mac related
jobs at the resources I've been using.
