help -> programatically replacing and restoring the desktop image

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to programatically replace and restore the desktop image. My app runs full screen and also supports returning to OS X desktop as it exists prior to app launch (in terms of the existing desktop image) during normal program execution. Are there APIs that can help me do this? Being quite new to Cocoa (and Carbon for that mater) I thought I might get some advice as to where to start looking.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Brandon Gaisford
