on finding work

I would agree with the poster who said that people skills are important. It's been my experience that programmers are pretty easy to get, but people who can understand the programming and the business side and can communicate meaningfully to both parties are less plentiful. Something else to keep in mind when looking for work-- what do you do better than any other developer you know? I don't mean how you write code, I mean what are your other interests and skills? You might not believe what could happen if you develop the traits that are unique to you. Know something besides how to program, whether it's actuarial sicence or art history. I lucked into a job which happens to use Cocoa because I have a combination of non-computer skills and interests very difficult to find.

Carrie
