The latest PB (ie December 2002) does variable substitution in the
values of
the Info.plist settings. So you can write $VER or something in the
values,
define VER in the build settings, and Bob's your uncle.
I haven't been able to get this to work (and judging by posts on the
projectbuilder-users mailing list, many others haven't either).
If I define $VER in my Build Settings, then I end up getting a literal
"$VER" (not the contents of the variable, $VER) in my plist file, and
correspondingly in the "Get Info" reported by the Finder.
Has anyone actually tried this and had it work? I know the docs say
you can do it; I just want to hear from someone who's verified it.
Cheers
Greg
