Ah yes - the old "System Preferences wont hold its settings trick". I
thought that had been fixed but lately I have a couple of instances of
that sort.
Thanks for the help.

This is likely because you have the "Play user interface sound
effects" turned on in the Sound System Preference (under Sound Effects
tab). It should have happened under 10.2.3- as well though, so I
can't see why you wouldn't have noticed it before now. :)
Merry Christmas (Season)!

All of a sudden I am getting a click in the system sound output every

result using the menu cmd rather than dragging.
Recent changes to my setup are the upgrade to 10.2.3 and the December
release of Developer Tools. Ran fine for a few days with these
changes. Click sound began yesterday.
Running a G4 MP-500.
Any thoughts as to what might be amiss? Does this sound like hardware
or software?
Any help greatly appreciated!
