Maybe OT - Get click from sound output when I drag to Trash

  • Subject: Maybe OT - Get click from sound output when I drag to Trash

All of a sudden I am getting a click in the system sound output every time I drag a file to the trash (drag to, not empty). I get the same result using the menu cmd rather than dragging.

Recent changes to my setup are the upgrade to 10.2.3 and the December release of Developer Tools. Ran fine for a few days with these changes. Click sound began yesterday.

Running a G4 MP-500.
Any thoughts as to what might be amiss? Does this sound like hardware or software?
Any help greatly appreciated!
