Martin,

I publish a shareware application called Script Timer that can be used to schedule tasks quite easily from a non Unix environment. It is primarily aimed at scheduling AppleScripts, but can be used without difficulty to schedule any program to run, either through a script telling the program to run, or directly.

You can take a look at Script Timer at the web site in my signature below. Just click on the Shareware and Freeware button.
