I tried to do this (where myQuickTime is the NSMovieView):
[myQuickTime setMovie:[[NSMovie alloc] initWithMovie:[data QTMovie]]];
Don't use initWithMovie. Don't even use
- (BOOL)loadDataRepresentation:(NSData *)data ofType:(NSString *)aType
rather use
- (BOOL)readFromFile:(NSString *)fileName ofType:(NSString *)docType {
NSURL *url = [[NSURL alloc] initFileURLWithPath:fileName];
myMovie = [[NSMovie alloc] initWithURL:url byReference:YES];
return YES;
}
then in
- (void)windowControllerDidLoadNib:(NSWindowController *) aController
play with you movieView.
I know, I'm not answering your question...;-)
