Chilton, Greetings!

"I am not 37 years old!"

When I have my Cocoa app say this, it freaks out on '37'. By freaks out, I mean it says, "thir...", makes a loud bandsaw-like noise for a second or two, and continues with the 'ty-seven...' and reads the rest correctly. It happens with any speed over 290 wpm. I can duplicate it in TextEdit, by typing in that line, and setting the speech speed (system prefs) to max and using 'bruce' as the voice. Can anyone confirm this on their system?

Yep. Turning down the speed even a bit makes it go away. DP=450, 10.1.3, TextEdit. Good catch!

Peace,
Bob
