If we are speaking of a good programming style though, constants should
begin by uppercases.

Prepending a "k" at the beginning of a constant's name is a long standing convention in Macintosh programming.

I expect you'll be running across this style from time to time on this list since many of us old Mac guys have it fairly well embedded in our brains.
