I had a look at this example, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do
with NSInputServer but to deal with the component manager / TSM way of
doing things which I am not too keen on getting involved with.
I don't know why you got the impression, but it is an example of
NSInputServer.

There is a simple example at /Developer/Examples/AppKit/HexInputServer.

Besides, I tried to follow the instructions in the NSInputServer
documentation to create my own Input Manager - unfortunately I failed
with this, since every Cocoa application I launch now logs
Can't open input server /Users/ssp/Library/InputManagers/A Input.bundle
which probably means I made a mistake... That's why I thought, having an
example for this would be handy :)
