1) Is there an option to download merely the Project Builder.app? I've
got a 56k-modem and don't want to download the whole 230MB devtool
stuff now, because they're still labeled "Beta"
Well, Project Builder.app has it's own frameworks which define things
like PB's NIBs and alot of its functions, so I believe that it would be
quite impossible to work with a newer Project Builder.app without
updating the frameworks first, which is what the Beta Installer Package
does.
Not to mention the updates to Interface Builder might have changed the
IPC mechanism for PB<->IB integration, and the updates to the other
tools and jamfiles, etc, could cause other things to break... I wouldn't
recommend trying it :-)
2) Does anybody know when the April DeveloperTools will get Release
status? Some time ago, I heard rumors saying that only the gcc v3
compiler is still buggy, everything else should be OK and won't change
until the final release...
Well, Jaguar will make the gcc3 compiler default, which makes me think
that that is also when the tools will be final... just a guess however.
Probably a pretty safe bet.
