Sorry, I don't know what Librarian and HeaderViever are but it sounds
like you're looking for a tool that scans comments in source and
produces programmer documentation then the tool I use is Doxygen

Thanks. But... Umm... No. Doxygen is not what I'm looking for...
Here are some background information:
Digital Librarian:
"A full text indexing and searching tool for creating custom digital
libraries. Allows access to important information via single or
multiple-keyword searches. Provides instant full text search access to
system and application documentation, or any other text file."

Header Viewer:
"Header Viewer is a programmer's research and reference tool. With
Header Viewer, you navigate through NEXTSTEP's application programming
interface (API); review the declarations of language elements such as
methods, functions, and constants; and retrieve relevant passages from
the NEXTSTEP developer documentation. Header Viewer helps you unravel
unfamiliar code, whether building blocks from the NEXTSTEP software
kits, programming examples, or programs written by your own development
team. "

Any ideas for equivalent app in the "brave new world"?
Thanks.
