Yes, that's just silly on the face of it, if you've ever seen an EMACS
user go after it.
The main difference between the two is that you can burn the keyboard
commands into your brain so you become adapted to the program, while
you can never "twitch" out your commands in the same way with a mouse.
When you move the mouse you actually have to think about it a bit.
However, some of us don't want to spend the time learning user
interfaces at the "twitch" level. Its nice if you live in an edit,
compile, run, debug, edit . . . world.
Very few of the commands I use are ones I will ever just "twitch" out.
"Cut", "Copy", "Paste", "Save", and "Quit". That's about it. Maybe
"Find." The rest of the stuff I do generally involves more thinking
time about what I'm going to do than it takes me to move the mouse to
the menu.
