Yeah, if someone wanted to put into Surfers Serials that you enter this code
but first turn your clock back to this time then maybe it could work.
That's more of a pain though...and they could configure the net games so
that when you log in your clock has to be current or something...and I'm
sure someone could get around that. But, go to this URL and Ambrosia has
published the results of using their new method to secure software...sure,
you get will ALWAYS get pirates. If a pirate does not want to pay, they
will not pay...but the point is to keep the honest people honest....They can
put in some code..but Joe User will have a harder time jumping through the
hoops of clock resetting...not to mention it could mess things up on their
computer. And then Joe User will just pay up. It's like a lock...you use
locks to keep honest people honest...and serious crook will break your lock
and has the tools to do it. A good software reg system, like Ambrosia
Software's will keep the people who pay as paying customers.

Here they talk about it. It's an interesting read.

Don't you only need to use that server to *get* the registration codes?

I thought you contact their server if your reg code was expired and you

needed a new one.
