Formatter for floating-point data in NSTextField

  • Subject: Formatter for floating-point data in NSTextField

I am trying to avoid the rather wordy use of localizedStringWithFormat
to display a floating point number (using for example a %6.2e format) in
a textfield. I have searched for a "graphical" way to do this using the
"drop-in" NSFormatter in IB, but didn't find anything. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Sorry if this is an elementary question: I am a Novice Cocoa programmer.

Thanks.
