PackageMaker package resources question

  • Subject: PackageMaker package resources question
  • From: John Scalo <email@hidden>
  • Date: Fri, 01 Mar 2002 16:23:42 -0800

When I create a package with PackageMaker, the install always fails ("there
were errors installing the software") IF I point it at a package resources
folder. The shell scripts (if any) don't run, the welcome.rtf file isn't
displayed, and nothing gets installed. The files in the resources directory
are however copied to the package when it is made. And if I remove the
"Package Resources Directory" entry in PackageMaker, all is well and the
software installs.

PackageMaker help is disappointingly sparse. Any tips?

Thanks
