Though as we all know the world revolves around OS X, I find it healthy to take a break once in a while.

For a short break I might play a game of X-Words or do the NY Times crossword puzzle. There is now, finally, a beta OS X app called MacXword for doing crosswords. It needs work, but it does the job.

For a longer break I might walk to a restaurant for whatever meal is appropriate to that time of day. I work at home, and I live in a neighborhood with lots of diners and restaurants.

For an even longer break I might hop on the subway to Manhattan and take in a movie. I like taking long walks in the city when the weather's nice.
